After a while Ginny turns toward Teri and apologizes. “We are suppose to be helping to build you up and instead we are acting like babes.” Teri shrugs her shoulders and says. “We are all going through tough situations. I don’t think any of us are acting like babies. We are just upset, hurt and searching for...” Before Teri has a chance to finish Ginny cut her off, “No I mean babes in the lord not just babies. I asked you to come out with us so that we can fill you in and see if you will be able to join us in something big. So I was apologizing because we allowed ourselves to get off track. The devil is a worthy adversary.” LaQueia apologizes too. “That’s why I debated whether I should come. I had a small breakthrough yesterday so I thought I would be okay, but instead I allowed the devil to play on this situation. I am so sorry. I will do better next time.”
Teri looks back and forth at Ginny and LaQueia not understanding what they are saying. As she thinks what’s the difference between being a babe and a baby? Ginny frowns as she lest out a disappointed sigh. “I can be so blunt at times. I wanted to speak with you and then see if you wanted to join us, but now all I have done is confuse you. Okay, so lets back things back up and start over again.” Ginny says with a wave of her hand. “These meetings that you are going to are set up with the purpose of getting individuals that believe, love the lord and are strong enough. You are going to Sister Kelly’s babes meetings. So many Christians are so immature and unlearned that they are considered babes in the Lord.
Many people decide that they want to accept God into their lives so they make that commitment. This step allows them into the Christian community, but just because you make the right move 1 day and become a Christian, does not mean that you are necessarily ready to handle many to any tasks. Just like a baby vs. a toddler, although a person goes through both of these stages, different responsibilities and milestones are accomplished and expected with each one. A baby can not do simple tasks like feed themselves or walk up the stairs, yet a baby accomplishes very simple milestones in order to be considered a toddler. With each stage a person grows up. We wanted to help lead you so that you can grow and maybe you will be able to participate with us.”
Still a bit unsure of what Ginny is getting at, Teri tilts her head and nods as she says a long drawn out “Okay,” in concentrated hesitation. “What are you trying to get me to join?” Teri still did not know why Ginny is acting so strange. Teri looks at LaQueia hoping to get a better understanding, but LaQueia is looking intensely at Ginny. Teri begins to feel alarmed as she looks back at Ginny who is looking nervous. “I don’t know if I am saying things correctly. Usually I don’t have a problem asking anyone to join, but everyone else has had more time to prepare. Right now the time is just so close….” Ginny’s voice trails off as she turns her gaze to LaQueia then back to Teri. “Why don’t we just enjoy each others company and we will be able to see if you are able to join us, by how things are going.” LaQueia nods in agreement.
Instantly the intensity on both of their faces vanish and they begin talking again about LaQueia’s book idea. Teri is completely confused. What in the world just happened? Both women starts acting so serious and then at the drop of a dime they change back like nothing has happened. Teri can not shake off what they want her to join. After they start eating Teri can not control her curiosity any more. So she turns to LaQueia and asks, “What were you two talking about earlier. LaQueia instantly looks at Ginny as if wanting permission to speak. This completely baffles Teri. As long as Teri has known LaQueia, LaQueia has always been open and very outspoken. So for her to be acting like she can not speak without Ginnys consent makes Teri feel nervous. Teri slowly turns her head and begins looking at Ginny. Ginny looks up and lets out a long breath as she thinks about what she wants to say before turning her attention back to Teri.
“I am hoping we can just let it go, but since I already opened my big mouth, which I should not have done. Maybe we can…” Ginnys voice trails off as she continues to think aloud. “It’s just that I really like you and I think you can be a good…well I think that this can benefit you and all of us too. The problem is that after I….I realize that I should have waited. So now I think we should just leave it alone until it is time. I completely apologize. I am so sorry that I brought it up. Lets just have a good time and soon I will be able to really talk to you. I just have to wait until I am told…or….I mean…. Please be patient and you really will be tuned in.” Ginny finally concludes after stumbling over her words.
Teri sits back in her chair. Her appetite is spoiled. Teri has always been a very curious person so this situation really peaks her interests. Teri looks back at LaQueia who looks uncomfortable and shrugs her shoulders then looks back at Ginny. Teri’s interest is now uncontrollably in need of answers. Teri tries to speak in a playful tone trying to convince them to let her in on the secret. “You can’t just start something and then not let me know what’s going on. Come on. LaQueia you know that I am trustworthy. Why can’t you just clue me in or at least give me something—anything so that I am not in this holding spot. That will just drive me crazy.”
Ginny frowns. “I know this is not the best situation but I jumped to conclusions when I saw that you called Sister Kelly. Just give me some time to get things together and I’ll tell you.” Ginny then squints her eyes as she looks at Teri and thinks for a moment. “Okay, if you will go above and beyond in the next few meetings with Sister Kelly, that will help you and I will be able to tell you so much more.” Suspiciously Teri agrees.
They eat the rest of their food in near silence and no one orders any dessert. They all leave after paying the waiter. Teri sits in her car as she tries to decipher their conversations, eagerly trying to put some pieces together in hopes of understanding what just happened. The next meeting with Sister Kelly is not until two days. Teri looks at her watch. Since they finished so quickly, the babysitter can still watch Christopher for another hour or two. So Teri goes straight to the church to see Sister Kelly. Teri parks in the food bank designated parking area and goes in asking for Sister Kelly.
A sour face older lady points to the fellowship hall. As soon as she enters, she sees Ginny, LaQueia and Sister Kelly all talking. Teri tries to leave without them noticing and is almost out the door when someone behind her calls out for Sister Kelly. They all look over and the woman who calls out, goes passed Teri and sits some money down on the table touches Sister Kelly on the shoulder, thanks her and leaves. Feeling very uncomfortable, Teri does not know what to do. So she does what many kids do when they get caught.
Teri turns around and is about to make a mad dash, when she hears Sister Kelly call her back into the room. Teri stands, back facing them, with one foot raised, motionless, like a deer in the head lights. Sister Kelly calls out to her again and says that it is okay. This makes Teri feel more comfortable so she turns back around and goes to them. Teri keeps her head down, still feeling awkward and uncertain. When she finally approaches she stands over them still looking at the floor not wanting to see the expressions on either Ginny or LaQueia’s face. Sister Kelly gets up and hugs Teri and motions for her to sit down.
“Beloved, I do not want you to think that there is a secret that must be discovered. Actually everything is open and known.” Teri sits down next to Sister Kelly while Ginny and LaQueia keep silent, both of their eyes steadfast on Sister Kelly. Uneasy, Teri automatically begins trying to quickly decipher what is happening like any good mystery movie before she is told. She wants to figure the mystery out and understand what is going on ahead of time like a heroine in a detective novel. Sister Kelly can see the same familiar nervous yet excited look on Teri’s expression that she has seen so many times. Sister Kelly smiles and waits for the silence to be broken.
Teri’s mind is still racing with various conclusions. Wrapping up conclusion after conclusion, it takes her some time to notice that nothing is being said or done. The complete silence finally awakens her back into the moment. Teri is startled as she is pulls out of her dreamful scenarios. Suddenly aware that all of their eyes have been and still are affixed on her, she looks around at everyone. Feeling as if they are all waiting for her to say something, Teri becomes uneasy again as she tries to guess what to say. Looking away she opens her mouth, when Sister Kelly cuts her off.
“Teri, I am normally the one who invites everyone in, however it appears that LaQueia feels something in her spirit.” Sister Kelly looks over at LaQueia with compassion. “Actually, I understand why because Ginny and I feel it too toward you. You are very special, very special. There is something there that is within you that is in need of exposure for the world to see and become aware of, for an explosion of power, strength and Lord knows what else.” Teri is taken back by what Sister Kelly is saying, instantly feeling empowered.
“You have a wonderful spirit that is so full of love, wisdom, and unbelievable authority locked away in you.” Sister Kelly gives two specific examples of Teri’s ability to love and how she uses wisdom in her life. Then Sister Kelly adds, “Everyone is exposed to the truth but so many people reject or distort it. This is your moment of truth. You can accept or deny it. But who you are--as marvelous as you have become and are growing into, I do not believe that you will deny the exploration of the truth much longer. This is the ultimate and most important questioning and beginning of enlightenment, awareness and revelation journey that you will ever sojourn.” Sister Kelly’s face becomes very serious.
“In this time and age it is so easy for us to become so involved in what is happening in our everyday lives that we forget to notice the obvious. This is seen in so many aspects of so many peoples life’s. Like you work so hard at your job to help your family, yet you do not spend much time with your family, or you work hard to move up yet you have not had time to enjoy a sunrise, sunset, or look up at the clouds and daydream. So caught up in our daily routines and other tasks that we stop seeing and thinking about what is to come. We ignore the future to come. So caught up in the here and now, people do not take time to really understand the bigger picture of that which is so vastly complex yet originally simple.
Although people have supernatural experiences and or feel things before they happen all of the time, still there is a blatant omission of divine intervention. Not wanting to notice the combined understanding of the inner being and the world outside of our own existence. When you’re awake and aware of your existence in this world you must feel the knowledge of greater, equal and lesser powers. Those that poses it and how they interact within and around you. This is also what is being presented to you daily, but it is constantly being ignored and overlooked.
Teri listens intensely as Sister Kelly continues. “The more you question traditions, authority, religion, the masses, the state of the world and everything else, the sooner you will be able to open yourself to a whole new level of consciousness. Discovering a new world of mental possibilities and challenges. Also the sooner you will find yourself in a state of confusion. Not understanding why people question certain things yet go along with others. You’ll wonder why so many things happen and what purpose they are serving now. Your awareness and questions will be endless.
For example the unproductive cycle of power. The ones who overpower current leadership are usually then put into the leadership role and eventually the new power becomes the old power and in due time is criticized and others want to overthrow it. Or the big bang theory. Evolution tries to explain creation without faith but since no one but God was there when the big bang was occurring, people have to have faith as the ultimate proof that there was a big bang in the first place. The more we try to understand the more confusing it becomes. Well that can change in an instant if you really are willing to seek out and accept the truth. There is a truth, and you can know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” Sister Kelly’s eyes lock onto Teri’s.
There has been another explosion--while Jesus was living and after he died. He was seeking and establish truth. He questioned authority and mass traditions, changing the world. Jesus is so amazing! His views and perception of things, systems, people is mind boggling. He never set up a monetary system for anything he did, without profit he freely gave to the world. Like I was talking about earlier regarding the redundant power struggle circle, instead of putting himself into power, Jesus put the ancient, present and future into position. How amazing and wonderful is that?
His changes and reign is always developing which allows him to stay futuristic. He is not trapped in the old customs or so far thinking that he losses the masses. His sovereignty, ministry and legacy is not several years behind, or ahead of us, but manages to change the spiritual, religious and natural world at a steady pace.
His is an explosion that can not be contained. There are truths in him that can not be shut down. Even after his death, he still thrives. Whenever a person dedicates there life to find the truth even if it opposes society, the masses, and more importantly their own core understandings a miraculous change can occur. This can be seen by Buddha and even Martin Luther. They pursued an uncompromising pursuit for the truth and there legacy’s are monumental! And that is what our small group is doing. We are relentless in our uncompromised pursuit to the truth!”
Sister Kelly stops briefly and sits back in her chair, closing her eyes and taking in a deep breath. Slowly letting it out, she opens back up her eyes. Before continuing, Sister Kelly wants to make sure that Teri fully comprehends what has already been said. She knows she has to choose her words carefully. Teri is looking very interested, but Sister Kelly does not sense the excitement flowing through her yet.
Therefore Sister Kelly decides to break it down one more time before getting to the second and most important aspect of what is about to happen. Concentrating on each word, Sister Kelly puts her hands in the praying position near her mouth and begins tapping her fingers on her chin as she thinks things through. Normally everyone who has been invited has been under the understanding and doctrine for at least a year. Being very careful Sister Kelly is trying to build a fresh foundation with a person who lacks so many basic fundamentals. Deciding on selective points, she puts her hands down, placing them on her neatly pressed skirt.
“Let me start with our groups essentials. We are called ‘Believers.’ We are made up of various types of groups, races, social cliques, ages, classes, sexes, financially stable, financially unable and diverse religions. Basically there are ‘Believers’ from all walks of life. Although we can be put into an array of assortments, the one thing that we all have in common is that we are all children of the almighty God and we all believe in Jesus. What I am talking about is available to the masses, but because of so many factors only a few qualify and have been willing.
Although we have all the characteristics of a secret society, I can assure you that we are not. Many people are initially drawn in by this and how we carry ourselves, and get lost in their desires for secrecy until they are able to fully understand. Since everything we do is honestly open to everyone several people have joined us in our quest. Nonetheless, very few people have been formally invited into our group, because we do not have things set up this way. Only with this event is there an invitation.
“Now that I have been pressed with the responsibility to personally invite people, I want to encourage more people in, but it is a really thin line, because it is such a personal conquest. Therefore, my discussing your future possibilities is something I have never done before. Everything that I am saying to you, is for someone who is beyond babe beginner and what I am now about to speak on is well past intermediate.” Sister Kelly pauses as she thinks again about her words carefully. Everything has to be done decently and in order, and although she will try to keep things basic this level of understanding will cause Sister Kelly to use more informed concepts.
“Beloved, everything I am about to say requires your essence to be involved in order for you to really grasp the magnitude of what is being presented to you. You have to open yourself up to truth allowing everything else to bow. It is about to get deep, really quickly and you will feel like déjà vu meaning “can you say that again” but I won’t, therefore, everything within you must pay attention and listen. Like everything it is simple yet complex.”
Sister Kelly begins with how the group came to be and how old it is and includes a few names of some well known members, speaking on how their success is a direct result of their passion for the truth. Teri is mesmerized as she hangs on every word. When Sister Kelly speaks about two not so well known members, Teri is amazed. Teri did not know such people existed. So many people chose to do such great works and not capitalize on their discoveries and great deeds instead they are willingly giving it away to the world for free. Feeling the pain that the layoffs and her own personal money troubles is causing her, Teri can not believe that anyone will give anything away during such a shortage.
“Although the concepts and essence of us is obviously old, only very recently have the more formal aspects occurred. Our mission and creed is the relentless pursuit of the uncompromised truth. Everyone involved has a purpose that they have personally received from our leader—God almighty! He is the only commander in chief, therefore whatever he says goes. A major focus is the next steps from following and learning to teacher and leader. He also desires us to show and tell others so they too can come into a personal relationship with him.
He gave us Jesus to help us get closer to him. Because of our consistent and relentless pursuit of sin we are so far off, mentally, spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, physically, in our lifestyle, how we react, respond, and in everything that we do, say, feel he has giving us Jesus to lead us to him. Therefore, we must go through Jesus. Jesus is our example, our pure connection to God. God desires that we get a personal relationship with Jesus, because Jesus will help keep our eyes on God. He will never lead us astray. He will show us how in our present state we can achieve spiritual enlightenment. He is the connection between our imperfection to perfection, unclean to clean.
Every person is born with talents and gifts that are to be used for God. Their purpose is predestined for things greater than ourselves. It is sad that there are so many people living and dead that believe that they are less than valuable. We all have some things that are within us, that can accomplish great things. But too many times people distort and abuse these talents and gifts. Although we are a group, our quest for the truth is a very personal and individual one. This means that we do not meet to discuss who does what, but allow God to bring us together as we use each others talents, gifts and purposes to accomplish what is needed.”
Sister Kelly smiles as memories of chance meetings flood her thoughts, “You will be amazed just how often we meet through divine intervention. Most people call it a coincidence but we know the truth and with how often it happens people can not, summarize it all up to luck. Now that you have a very brief history, lets discuss what LaQueia and Ginny are speaking of. The last time that many of us amazingly came together, it was established that it is time for the evidence to show.
There is a God and some of us—I being the biggest advocate, decided that we can prove it to this generation. Now what I propose is for us to be like the original disciples and impact the world, showing them our dedication to Christ. The world will be drawn to God, because of all the healings and miracles. Things that will not only prove Gods greatness, but will place a distinct desire for people to want to know more about God and Jesus.
Right now the current generations want the world to know there is a God because of how blessed we are. People are being taught and more importantly desire to be taught about their own personal well being. This commitment to self preservation though divine intervention has made so many people who believe in God and Jesus so very selfish and to a sad extent very proud, spoiled and bratty.
Too many people whine and complain to others and God, when they do not get their way. I am not saying that some concerns are not valid, like money to pay bills and taking care of families, but in the scheme of the bigger picture those things do not matter. God will provide for your family and necessary bills to be paid. What does matter is the your dedication to the ‘my will be done vs your will be done’ factor.
The following of the predestined Christ has been an unprecedented transformation. Like a raging fire, it happened and spread so quickly. It has been tested and today it is still being tested. Following the Christ can not be truly stopped or controlled because it is within all of us. Outside from the obvious death and rising of Jesus, which was witnessed by many people, there is also the foundation of his followers. His disciples continue to change the world. What has been proposed is for us to be like the original disciples and consumingly impact the world.
What I am recommending is not a new religion but a new age revelation. I want the evidence of things not seen to happen. Many people believe what they believe out of tradition or culture. No one is tackling the obvious question ‘If God is God then why isn’t his followers doing the impossible or at least doing and achieving more than the non believers? Although the answer is obvious, it rings true to my Phd thesis: ‘originally simple yet vastly complex,’ theory.
Instead of staying focused on God, we who do believe in him, allow ourselves to be pulled in to any and everything that distracts us from him and even more importantly we allow ourselves to not truly believe in him. That is why we are called simply ‘Believers’ we live like we really believe. We live through the faith of his existence. Our faith is not being overworked for things, our needs and desires. It is focused specifically on really believing in Jesus and in essence God almighty. We ‘Believers’ are setting ourselves apart.
We purposely focus on not getting caught up in everything. To many people try to prove God through self preservation. I have a big house so that proves it. I have the latest and greatest cars so that proves it. I have a really great position or top title or career. Look at me I’m a V.I.P. M.V.P.! But all of the accolades does not prove anything, because all those things are temporary and my God deals in eternity. Besides, non believers have those things too. Most people do not want to hear this but whether we have those things or not, does not prove anything or shows God abilities. A miracle on the other hand does prove God’s abilities.
Instead of concentrating on our self preservation, let us allow the world to reach for our God through the healing of the sick, abused, hurt. I also need to stress that I am not saying some being healed and delivered, but ALL being healed! Everyone that is in need of healing is instantly healed--cancer gone, diseases cured, autism remedied, body parts restored, abnormalities normalized, impurities become pure, shattered bones and hips restored to new, even memory loss and hair loss is regained. This new age revelation will change everyone and everything in it’s path.
Since this is something that has been pressed on my heart, many are coming here. However others are being lead to do things elsewhere. Nonetheless, this coming to Jesus revival is set for this upcoming Easter. In essence it will be like a conference full of healing. I want everyone with a passion for the lost to be here in order to get others saved. Unlike most things of this nature where it is established for people of the same beliefs to come together and get knowledge, fellowship, an enjoyable time and more information. The goal of our coming together is for the ones that are actually exercising God’s many gifts and talents--especially the gift of healing to come and conference in those that are hurting through mighty works. One of the last things that Jesus spoke on this earth is for us to go out and reaching the rest of the world.” The passion in Sister Kelly intensifies as she continues.
“It is a command for us to do what I am saying. We are suppose to reach out to the world. Our one and only goal is to bring others to God. Instead of doing whatever we are doing we are suppose to be bringing others to God through the Christ. Yet so many of us are too busy uplifting ourselves, with various busy work, maintaining our material objects, creating more bills and concentrating on our own needs, wants and desires. So many people believe, yet they are so caught up in their own lives they do not have time to accomplish the very thing they are born to do.
What everyone needs to understand is that everyone is invited by God to be with God. That means that Gods big picture goal is to draw all men to him, not to curse, hurt, maim or destroy any of us. Therefore when we get upset and feel that a certain person deserves harm for what we feel is not in our best interest. God is not jumping to the chance to avenge us. Of course this also makes us mad and many people have turned away from God because of it. We are suppose to be reaching out to others to bring them closer to God our Creator.
This Easter instead of us putting on our Sunday best, there will be an outpouring of our spiritual best. Whatever God has pressed upon your heart I want it to get accomplished. In all of us, God has a patent that he placed on our heart. It formalizes through our gifts, talents, desires and passions. Sadly, many people have abused his patent by using their abilities for their own lust.
Many people with talents to influence and draw people will use that gift for their own pleasures. Becoming leaders and leading people astray. Others that have the ability to sing or write will use it to influence the world on whatever topic or fade that is popular--harmonizing on adultery, fornication, murder, drugs and their own upliftment full of pride. Others are afraid of their gifts so they hide it or never use. While others concentrate on things they are not good at or called to do. You see, everyone has a gift, but just because they have a gift does not mean it is to being used for what God intends or wants.
For example, Sister Burney will be there and she has it pressed on her heart to not only heal but also to raise the dead. Her husband died a few years ago from pancreatic cancer. She was married nearly 47 years so when he passed away it was a terrible mourning for her. She has been married to him longer than she has been alive without him. Hurt she drowned herself in her children, the study of the bible, God and church. Nothing seemed to comfort her until she read the story of Lazarus. Although she has heard the story several times, after she read it one day, she began thinking over and over about it. She even had several dreams. For the first time it became apparent to her that her husband did not have to die. If Lazarus was able to be awakened from death then so can her husband.
When this thought embedded itself within her she shuttered over the possibilities. That night she even dreamed that her husband was already raised from the dead. That dream motivated her, so that morning she got dressed in one of the outfits that her husband loved and called one of her sons to take her to the very spot where her husband was buried. The whole drive there she was excited. Her son even commented on how well she looked. He said that she was practically glowing. She got out of the car but leaned back in through the open passenger side window, to tell him she has a surprise for him. Then she began walking over to her husbands tombstone. During her walk she began to think about how happy she will be and how excited her son will be when both she and her husband came back to the car.
That thought was quickly carried away when she arrived at the tombstone. As she stood over the grave sight, instantly she began to wonder how her husband will be able to come out of the grave. If she called out to him how could he come to her--there was all that dirt engulfing him. Immediately she sat down and started to dig with her hands. Then the thought of a locked casket jumped in her head. Tears started to flow down her cheeks as she remembered the embalming process. She continued to dig, messing up her nails and pressed dress. Sister Burney did not care, she just wanted her husband back.
She continued to pull dirt away until a pictures of his potentially decaying body, halted her digging as she cried out her inner most pains and agony. Still on her knees she ignored her normal prim and proper composure as her body forgot how to hold herself up. Falling forward her forehead landed above the spot where she had been pulling away the dirt. She just laid their crying out to the lord. ‘Why did you do this to me?’ She sobbed out loud. She stayed like that weeping and crying until she got angry and determined to fix her pain, making her lift her head and start digging again.
Then all of the legal and social stigmatisms started to play through her head. His death certificate being undone, how will people accept him? What will people say and do to them. Their children might not understand and the grandchildren may be scared…. Everything in her body tensed as she slowly lifted up her hands still holding tons of dirt. Sister Burney just sat there looking at the thick rich dirt. Is she really ready for all of this? Emotionally torn, bit by bit, she opened her fingers and let the dirt run through her fingertips.
Her thoughts ended with, ‘If only she could have been able to cure his cancer before his death. A needed cooling breeze filled through her as the thought resided within her. Exhausted and hot she embraced the coolness in the soothing breeze as she looked out at all of the tombstones around her. In her stillness, a thought floated through her. Maybe she can help someone else before their loved one ended up here. Peace surrounded her as this thought embedded itself within her spirit. As a retired doctor she knows the challenges she will face, but all of her uncertainty was gone. She was not going to come up with a theory or product, she was going to use those same dirty hands to touch people and make them whole.
After a while her joy came back to her despite her recent frustrations. It wasn’t until she saw the horror on her sons face that she remembered that she looked a mess. She did not even bother to address his concerns. He mind was racing on all that she would do to get prepared. She has not preformed a surgery in over 10 years so she is going to have to sharpen her mind in order to be prepared.
When Sister Burney told me about all of this I was amazed. Her zeal and enthusiasm for our upcoming event stirs my souls. From that time until now, she has been diligently getting prepared. Her story is similar to several others who are getting prepared for this Easter. I am not the only one with a desire to draw people closer to God in this way. There are many of us ‘Believers’ that desire to be used by God through healings and miracles.
